Who is responsible for your data

This site belongs to Louis Ryan, sole trader, Portlaoise, County Laois, Ireland. I am the data controller for any personal information collected through this site. You can reach me at louis.ryan@computervision.ie or on .

What I collect and why

Contact form

When you use the contact form I collect your name, email address, and whatever you write in the message. If you choose to give them, I also collect your phone number, company name, and how you heard about me. I use this information only to reply to your enquiry. The lawful basis is my legitimate interest in responding to people who contact me.

Quote tool

When you use the instant quote tool I collect your answers to the six questions, plus your name and email address. I use this to generate an estimate and to follow up with you. Your answers are sent to Anthropic (the company that provides the AI service I use) for processing. Anthropic may process this data on servers outside Ireland but within the European Economic Area. I do not use your quote answers for any other purpose. The lawful basis is your consent, which you give when you tick the box and submit the form.

What I do not collect

This site does not use cookies, tracking scripts, or analytics tools. It does not embed social media widgets or load anything from third-party servers beyond the fonts used on the page. No advertising of any kind runs on this site.

How long I keep it

Enquiries and quote submissions are kept for two years, which is enough time to follow up on a project that was delayed. After that they are deleted. If a project goes ahead, I keep only the information needed to support the work and any legal obligations that follow from it.

Who else sees it

Nobody, except Anthropic for quote tool submissions as described above. I do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any other party.

Your rights

Under Irish and EU data protection law you have the right to see the information I hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to restrict how I use it, and to object to my using it at all. To exercise any of these rights, email me at louis.ryan@computervision.ie. I will reply within one month.

If you are not satisfied with how I handle your data, you have the right to complain to the Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.

Changes to this notice

If I make any material changes I will update the date at the top of this page. I will not reduce your rights without telling you directly.
